Schoolage Childcare Aide
- School Year and Summer Position - Starting May 2026
- Summer Hours range from 7:00am-5:00pm (M-F)
- School Year Hours 6:30am-9:00am and/or 3:30pm-6:00pm (M-F)
- Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age (16 & 17 year olds will be considered with supervision requirements)

Expected hours: 10 – 29 per week
- Work Location: Multiple locations with HPS
Summary: Assist with supervising children at our Early Childhood Center and/or after school programs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision and care for our students under all state licensing guidelines
- Compassionate, caring and supportive of each child in the program
- Closely monitor child activities and ensure a safe environment
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and staff
- Help maintain an organized and clean environment
- Assist with preparing activities and participate with children in play including games, crafts and learning experiences
Supervisory Responsibilities: Not applicable
Direct Report: ECC Director, Assistant ECC Director

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a licensed childcare facility or coursework/degree in early childhood education
- Additional training and/or education
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communication including emails, letters, spreadsheet and forms Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate basic mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide; determine percentages and decimals; spatial aptitude to inspect length and weight of objects
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
