What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant position at Hudsonview Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare?
The purpose of this position is to treat and document care for residents with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease process, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings as required.

- Follow physicians' orders for resident care and follow directions of the Physical Therapist
- Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities
- Provide appropriate treatment, preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in residents' functions
- Provide appropriate resident or caregiver education to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities
- Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by federal, state and local regulatory agencies and third-party payers
- Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents' functions
- Observe infection control procedures
- Be responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision
- Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers
- Follow all facility Residents' Rights policies
- Remain positive and caring and act in the best interests of our residents
- Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner
- Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor
