About HYE

Hudson Yards Experiences (HYE) is a premier attractions, hospitality, and entertainment operator headquartered on Manhattan’s West Side. We operate Edge — New York City’s highest indoor/outdoor sky deck and an immersive, ever-changing entertainment destination — and provide ticketing and commercial services for Vessel, one of the city’s most photographed landmarks. We believe the world’s greatest destinations are brought to life by exceptional people — and our Sky High Hospitality philosophy reflects that commitment every day, in every interaction. If you’re energized by creating moments that matter, HYE is where you belong.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support HYE division leaders and help drive a strong people experience across a workforce of approximately 200 associates.

This role requires someone with solid HR judgment, the ability to manage a broad range of employee relations matters, and a hands-on approach to execution. The ideal candidate is collaborative, dependable, and comfortable working across all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Own

Strategic HR Partnership

• Partner with HYE division leaders to understand business needs and support people-related priorities.

• Support workforce planning and talent pipeline efforts in partnership with the Head of HR and division leaders.

• Identify people-related opportunities and risks and bring thoughtful recommendations to the Head of HR and senior leaders.

• Support change management efforts during periods of organizational change, helping to communicate effectively and prepare employees.

• Participate in annual talent reviews and succession planning conversations in partnership with division leaders.

Employee Relations & Compliance

• Manage a broad range of employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and separations.

• Exercise sound judgment on sensitive matters; partner with legal counsel as needed to assess risk and ensure appropriate handling.

• Ensure consistent application of HYE’s progressive discipline policy; author and review written warnings, performance improvement plans, and separation documentation.

• Maintain expert-level knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law; advise leadership on legislative changes, compliance obligations, and policy updates.

• Develop and refine HR policies, procedures, and manager toolkits to support consistency, fairness, and operational excellence across the division.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

• Act as an HR liaison to payroll operations, supporting accurate and timely processing across all employment actions including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and bonuses.

• Review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance; identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Advise managers and employees on benefits administration, leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, and related compensation matters.

• Support compensation benchmarking and market analysis in partnership with the Head of HR.

• Manage compliance audits, reconciliations, and reporting across compensation, benefits, and payroll programs.

Talent Development & Culture

• Support manager effectiveness through coaching, development resources, and targeted initiatives across HYE.

• Champion a culture of continuous feedback and accountability; support the evolution of performance management practices to be meaningful, consistent, and growth-oriented.

• Contribute to employee engagement efforts that strengthen culture and support retention across a diverse workforce.

• Lead HYE’s employee recognition, communication, and events programming, ensuring alignment with organizational values and business priorities.

• Identify skill gaps and connect employees to learning opportunities that support growth and development.

HR Operations & Data Integrity

• Maintain accurate and compliant employee data within the HRIS and support ongoing system and process improvements.

• Oversee end-to-end HR operational processes, including onboarding, organizational changes, promotions, and offboarding, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

• Develop and deliver recurring and ad hoc HR analytics, dashboards, and trend analyses that inform leadership decision-making and proactive talent strategy.

• Maintain audit-ready employee records, documentation, and organizational charts in compliance with all applicable standards.

• Contribute to the improvement of HR workflows, policies, and procedures to support operational consistency.

What You Bring

• 5 years of progressive HR experience, with meaningful time in an HR Business Partner or generalist role.

• Comfortable working with managers and leaders across levels on a range of people matters.

• Deep expertise in employee relations, employment law, and HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

• Strong command of payroll processes, benefits administration, and compensation practices; experience with HRIS platforms (UKG or similar strongly preferred).

• Exceptional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence; proven ability to navigate sensitive situations with poise and professionalism.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt style across audiences and present information clearly.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working with HR data and using it to support decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or SHRM-SCP / SPHR certification preferred.
