RN Supervisor

We are currently seeking applicants for our Nursing Supervisor (RN) FT days position. Some flexibility with the scheduled hours.

Your basic responsibilities will include:

• Supervising or performing a broad range of nursing duties and providing direct care including various therapies, providing of medications, admission and discharge, education and other protocols.

• Conferring with physicians, therapists and others to provide information or receiving feedback as may be appropriate for the maintenance of nursing care.

• Supervising the activities within the facility including the personal care of residents, their hygiene, and other related functions required by the nursing plan or as appropriate for each resident.

• Providing guidance, instruction, coaching, to the nursing staff to ensure duties are carried out properly and standards of care are maintained.

• Performing a full range of employee relations’ activities including orientation, training, re-training, discipline, communications, etc.

• Monitoring activities of the unit including the status of resident care, preparing a variety of documentation including outcome evaluations, incident follow through and other related or requested records and reports.

• Conducting periodic reviews of nurse progress notes for inclusion in-house reports.

• Preparing and submitting monthly reports of the unit activity to the director of nursing, etc.

• Conducting a variety of other supervisory and nursing functions including participation in unit quality assurance audits and studies, investigations of incidents or other unusual occurrences, and other activities as part of overall unit supervision.

Requirements:

• A current New York State RN license.
• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
• Blood draw and IV experience a plus
