A beautiful, privately owned skilled nursing facility located near Brentwood, NY is looking for A strong Director of Respiratory Therapy.
Qualifications of the Director of Respiratory Therapy:
- Demonstrates appropriate understanding of the needs and behaviors of the residents/patients
- Communicates clearly and comprehensibly to residents, patients and family members, under-standing changes in cognition and allowing sufficient time for the processing of information
- Assesses the patient's physical problems such as signs and symptoms of respiratory distress, failure, etc
- Determines need for respiratory equipment, and other related equipment supplies inventory of same and need for repair or replacement as appropriate
- Graduate of accredited Respiratory program
- Current and valid NYS licensed Respiratory Therapist
- Must have previous management experience
- Must have long-term care experience
- AARC Registered Respiratory Therapist. RRT Credentials
