Turret Operator

Job Overview

Hudson Valley Lighting Group seeks a safety-focused, detail-oriented Turret Operator to join our Receiving/Inventory team. Reporting directly to the Inventory Control Supervisor, this role safely and accurately moves, stores, and tracks materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have proven turret operating experience, strong inventory management skills, experience using handheld scanners, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced distribution environment. Responsibilities

• Put away products from Containers, Quality Control, Production, and Repack.
• Perform regular inventory counts/checks.
• Provide support to the Receiving and Inventory team when needed.
• Assist with unloading containers.
• Assist with Order Picking when necessary.
• Perform consolidation of material.
• Ensure proper systematic transfer of material on an IM level via handheld scanner.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures set forth by Hudson Valley Lighting.
• Participate in team meetings, process improvement strategies, and team-building exercises.
• Ensure the turret machine is kept clean.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years’ machine operating experience specifically related to turrets.
• 1 – 2 years of machine operating experience relating to forklifts and cherry pickers.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience working with handheld scanners.
• Strong organizational skills with effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with little to no supervision.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to distinguish between different colors accurately.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform hands-on work safely and effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.
• Ability to reliably commute to Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
• US citizen or permanent resident (no Visa sponsorship available).

This position requires lifting up to 30 lbs., standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. As well as sitting for the duration of the work shift, except on breaks and mealtimes.
