Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vans, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Navigate assigned routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload products using manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with knowledge of route driving techniques.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission is preferred.
- Proficient in using a pallet jack for loading and unloading goods.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules consistently.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as required during deliveries.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain one is encouraged.
