Senior Consumer Loan Processor

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of  Senior Consumer Loan Processor. Primary Function: monitor the department reports, incoming emails, and Consumer Loan Processing loan queues. Create and distribute work assignments to maximize productivity and meet turn time goals. Serve as the primary resource for employee and member inquires and is the first point of contact for escalated issues. Conduct quality assurance to ensure work is completed per procedure.

• Oversee the completion of the daily tasks in Consumer Loan Processing.  
• Notify the Consumer Loan Processing Supervisor of any concerns/issues for further direction.                  
• Monitor the Consumer Loan Processing queues and assign tasks within the department as needed.
• Review loan packages and documents for accuracy, prepares final loan package for funding.
• Review the Quality Control findings for the staff and provide additional training and feedback as needed.
• Responsible for the review and reconciliation of assigned Consumer Loan Processing General Ledger Accounts. 
• Input and verify funding data into the consumer loans origination system to ensure the loan is funded in accordance with lending policies and procedures, disburses loan proceeds and performs associated system maintenance.
• Assist with system testing and new credit union offerings.
• Monitor the department emails, reports, and/or provide system overrides to ensure timely responses.
• Review and process employee loan applications as designated.
• Issue documents required by Truth in Lending and RESPA.
• Operate multiple computer systems to accurately respond to dealer, staff and member inquiries regarding existing and pending consumer loan applications.
• Perform follow-up on outstanding documents for existing consumer loan applications in process via Direct and Indirect channels to ensure member satisfaction.
• Recommend process and product improvements to enhance member experience and eliminate waste.
• Train new Consumer Loan Processors on department policies, systems and procedures. Act as a resource and/or peer mentor for team members.
• Maintain knowledge; provide training and procedural support while ensuring regulatory compliance to all Consumer Loan Processing employees.
• Serve as back-up to the Consumer Loan Processing Supervisor
• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required
• Minimum 3 YearLoan Processing experience preferred
