The EOC is currently recruiting for the position of:
 
Coordinator for Instructional Services EOC-NTP-8483
 
Qualifications for Employment
 
Education (Minimum Requirements):
 
Master’s Degree in Education or other related field from an accredited college or university.
 
Employment Experience Preferred:
 
Five (5) years’ experience in the field of Education, and non-traditional education; and three (3) years administrative or faculty supervision.

Expertise in planning and developing master schedules.
 
Other Preferred qualifications:
 
Doctorate in Education or related field.
 
Nature and Scope of Duties
 
The Coordinator for Instructional Services reports to the Vice President/Executive Director and performs the following duties:
 
1. Leads, directs and supervises center instructional programs, functions and staff;
 
2. Plans, develops, implements and evaluates curriculum, programs, instruction, guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure integrity and effectiveness in program implementation and to enhance program development;
 
3. Establishes standards and procedures for instructional activity and for the keeping of records in relation to instructional procedure, student progress and other matters;
 
4. Oversees and monitors procedures, operations, and /or record keeping systems to ensure compliance with requirements;
 
5. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development, assignment, evaluation, retention and promotion of faculty and instructional support staff;
 
6. Promotes the professional development of employees, and recommends the development, implementation, supervision and evaluation of in-service training for faculty;
 
7. Directly supervises program coordinators, counselors, tutors and instructional staff as assigned;
 
8. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional personnel through observation, research and consultation;
 
9. Responsible for overseeing the timely submission of time sheets and confirming the accuracy of all time sheets for instructional staff;
 
10. Adheres to and implements, where applicable, the terms and provisions of the collective bargaining agreement covering teaching faculty;
 
11. Meets regularly with Program Coordinators, faculty, and other academic support staff;
 
12. Coordinates instructional budget preparation; Supervises and monitors the instructional budget; Reviews and recommends approval of requisitions for instructionally related purchases; Ensures adequate instructional equipment and supply availability for instruction as well as adequacy and availability of textbooks; develops procedures and maintains records necessary for budget control; Works in conjunction with the other administrative staff in facilitating this area;
 
13. Develops and coordinates long range and strategic planning to prepare for future program and/or administrative needs, cost control and optimal utilization of staff and other resources;
 
14. Responsible for the development and implementation of the master schedule, program and course descriptions; Works in conjunction with other administrative staff to ensure coordination of schedules and programs with other center functions;
 
15. Monitors weekly enrollment data and makes formal recommendations for course offerings and modifications;
 
16. Works in conjunction with other administrative staff in developing procedures for the appropriate tracking and submission of data;
 
17. Conducts research and compiles reports as required;
 
18. Responsible for preparation of all Instructional Program Proposal;
 
19. Works in conjunction with the Vice President/Executive Director and other administrative staff in ensuring that the mission, goals, and objectives of the center are met, and to plan and coordinate center policies and procedures;
 
20. Works in conjunction with other administrative staff on matters relating to the recruitment, admission, registration and retention of students in programs;
 
21. Works in conjunction with the other administrative staff in the preparation, development and implementation of new instructional program proposals for funding, grant development and writing, the evaluation of program effectiveness, and the development of research on occupational trends and factors which may affect center programs and students;
 
22. Responsible for coordinating the instructional program with all other center departments and in establishing supportive networks between faculty and other staff;
 
23. Develops and maintains favorable, cooperative and active relationships and/or partnerships with community, civic, business, industry, SUNY central administration and other educational organizations and individuals for the mutual benefit of the center and these other constituencies, to foster incentives for student enrollment, to disseminate program information, to establish articulation and cooperative agreements, and to meet emerging community needs;
 
24. Provides evening supervision for both the instructional program and for the total management of the EOC in rotation with other center managers as required;
 
25. Performs other related tasks as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000.
