Responsibilities
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Assist in food preparation and handling, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Communicate clearly with kitchen team members to relay special requests or modifications for orders
- Organize and prioritize multiple orders during busy service periods to optimize workflow
- Support serving staff by bussing tables and ensuring the dining area remains clean and inviting
- Use POS systems (Toast) accurately to process orders and payments when necessary
- Maintain organization of food stations, ensuring all items are stocked, labeled, and ready for service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Strong understanding of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic numeracy skills for order accuracy and POS system operation
- Experience with food expediting or banquet service is a plus
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hotel or catering experience is advantageous
