Hudson Sheet Metal Co. is looking for a hardworking, dependable Sheet Metal Helper to join our team in Ashland, VA. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the sheet metal and fabrication trade.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist sheet metal fabricators with daily shop and field work
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials
- Assist with measuring, cutting, cleaning, bending, fitting, and assembling sheet metal
- Use basic hand and power tools safely
- Help prepare materials and parts for fabrication and installation
- Assist with industrial and custom fabrication projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and instructions from supervisors
- Perform other duties as needed to support the fabrication team
Qualifications
- Previous sheet metal, construction, fabrication, or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to work with hand and power tools
- Able to lift and move materials as required
- Comfortable working in a shop and in the field on job sites
- Must be able to work well as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
