Lead Barista

Job Summary

Duties

• Lead and motivate a team of baristas to deliver outstanding customer service and coffee quality
• Oversee daily café operations, including food and beverage preparation, serving, and cash handling
• Ensure all retail sales transactions are processed accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Maintain food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in accordance with health regulations
• Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and monitor cleanliness to uphold a pristine café environment
• Train new team members on food preparation, POS usage, customer service techniques, and safety protocols
• Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a barista with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and serving techniques
• Previous retail sales experience with familiarity in POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Demonstrated leadership skills or supervisory experience in a café or food service setting
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales reconciliation
• Basic math skills essential for cash transactions and inventory management
• Food industry experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
