Job Overview
As an Account Associate, you’ll support customers, solve technical challenges, and learn how scientific insight drives business decisions. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured, team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical customer inquiries and translate scientific information into practical solutions
- Support and grow existing accounts through phone and email outreach
- Identify and qualify new leads, including cold calling
- Manage inbound requests (product information, samples, literature)
- Collaborate with scientists on product development and testing
- Conduct surveys to support sales and marketing initiatives
- Maintain accurate records in CRM
- Build foundational skills for a future in technical sales and customer engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of industrial or consumer products industry experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, respectful communication style and a positive, solutions‑focused mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and follow through reliably
- Curiosity about how science connects to customer needs and commercial strategy
