Job Description
Hudson Regional LTC Pharmacy is the premiere provider of long-term care pharmacy services in the Hudson Valley, specializing in the care of the developmentally disabled and others requiring ongoing care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Package prescription orders.
- Manage work flow, pull drugs from the shelf for orders and distribute work to be done as needed in the absence of Lead Packing Technician.
- Clean and maintain clean work space.
- Print labels and sort according to delivery times as needed.
- Highlight specific directions on labels as needed.
- Read labels and verify information is correct, bring all errors to triage.
- Complete all partials from the previous day by filling them in the system.
- Communicate and coordinate with other team members for any issues that may arise.
- Correct number of labels to print in the system if not enough print on the initial fill and inform data entry tech for future knowledge.
- Log and dispose of any damaged medications according to policy.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with daily drug order, reconciliation and put away order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Reasoning Ability
Must demonstrate proficiency and productivity in a fast paced environment with unscheduled interruptions while maintaining acceptable judgment, responsibility, and assumption for decisions,consequences, and results. Applicant must demonstrate good organization, time management, and communication skills. Occasionally an adjusted work schedule is required to accommodate company needs.
Technology Skills
Must demonstrate proficient ability and practical knowledge of personal computer use. Additionally, the pharmacy packing technician must demonstrate timely and proficient use of company specific software programs and any other handheld or technology tools as required for completing job tasks.
