ROI Technician

Job Specific Competencies: 

Assists physicians in obtaining copies of reports.
Processes Continuing Care requests for records from Patients and Physicians.
Ensures that release of information forms are compliant with federal and state regulations..
Responsible for informing HIM leadserhip, of any unforessen issues that will directly or indirectly affect the HIM Department.
Enters all requests into the electronic ROI log
Photocopies and/or prints out appropriate PHI as requested.
Handles all stat requests and walk-in patients and confirms authenticity of requestor.
Participates in Performance improvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
