What are the responsibilities and job description for the O.R. SCHEDULER position at Hudson Regional Hospital?
JOB DUTIES
Verifies all insurances for Same Day Surgery Cases.
Ensures that patients healthcare benefits cover all required procedures.
Contacts insurance company to verify coverage levels.
Communicates closely with the OR Scheduling Supervisor and Director of Perioperative Services regarding potential problems.
Schedules surgeries of all surgeons for the Operating Room and Endoscopy departments.
Communicates with all doctors offices to obtain Lien/ LOP from attorneys if applicable.
Enters data correctly in patients accounts, updates patients benefits and confirms that all authorizations are valid.
Works closely with Same Day Schedulers and Revenue Department and assist as needed.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
H.S. Diploma, college degree in related field preferred.
Previous experience in a hospital setting in the Registration/Admission Department preferred.
Salary : $20 - $25
