Main Functions
Observes and assists assigned mental health patients and helps with daily living activities, therapeutic activities, and socialization.
Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
Performs and records information about patients including vital signs, weight, glucose monitoring, and demeanor.
May communicate with the patient's family as needed.
Education & Experience
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least 1-3 years’ of relevant experience.
Competencies & Skills
Good oral and written communication skills; ability to follow up on information with staff members.
Ability to organize workday and environment to get the job done.
Excellent public contact skills - courteous, tactful, friendly, and the ability to work well with others.
Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a stressful environment.
Salary : $18 - $26
