Medical Office Staff
We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our team in a multi-site practice. The successful applicant will perform routine administrative duties including front desk as well as clinical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, schedule appointments and register patients.
- Process paperwork, data entry and scanning.
- Assist with insurance verification, and prior authorization.
- Manage office supply inventory.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as escorting patients to exam rooms.
- Set up treatment rooms.
- Keep the office and treatment rooms clean and organized.
- Responsible for the preparation and breakdown of the operating room.
- Assist in patient transport to and from the operating room.
- Sterilization of equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Assemble surgical packs and maintain surgical instrument inventory.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Must be able to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Must have experience working with computers (EMR, Excel, and Word).
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work; transportation between offices is also be required.
- Must obtain radiology certification within one year, this is a course paid for by the practice.
