Duties
- Perform routine medical tests and procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including catheter care and support for patients with dementia.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in the management of medical office tasks, ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home care practices.
- Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards while working with patients.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong background in home community care practices.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient support, particularly in hospice and dementia care environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is a plus.
