What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Hudson Dermatology?
We are seeking a medical assistant to join our Kingston location in our multi-office dermatology practice. Medical Assistants will work with our team to maintain efficient patient flow, assist in patient care, ensure accurate appointment notes, and perform other tasks as assigned by providers.
Job Type: Full-time Prefered
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts patient assessments and obtains pertinent medical information for referral to the provider.
- Develops detailed appointment notes to accurately document patient visits.
- Prepares, cleans, stocks exam rooms, and orders supplies as needed.
- Telephones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as required or directed by providers.
- Assists providers with clinical support as requested.
Additional Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the medical practice and diligence in assisting with patient care.
- Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Ability to assist with a variety of treatments and medications as directed. Skill in maintaining records and recording test results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
