Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools
- Perform buffing and polishing to achieve a high-gloss finish on painted surfaces
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various repair tasks
- Uphold safety standards by adhering to proper handling of chemicals, paints, and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto body painting, auto restoration, or dealership service centers
- Knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding, buffing, and detailing
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying systems
- Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
