Overview
We are looking for a responsible, detail‑oriented Medication Aide to join our assisted living care team. In this role, you’ll support residents by safely administering medications, monitoring their well‑being, and assisting with daily care needs. You’ll play a key part in ensuring residents feel supported, respected, and empowered in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with state regulations, facility policies, and individual care plans
- Accurately document medication administration, refusals, and any observed side effects or changes in condition
- Maintain proper storage, security, and organization of medications
- Communicate promptly with nursing staff regarding resident concerns, medication discrepancies, or health changes
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, mobility, and hygiene as needed
- Support residents during meals, activities, and social engagement opportunities
- Provide compassionate companionship and help maintain a positive, respectful living environment
- Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all safety and infection‑control procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, long‑term care, or healthcare preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
- Effective communication skills and a calm, supportive demeanor
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and extended periods of standing
Schedule
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Part-Time
- Two weekdays each week
- Every other weekend required
