Essential Duties:
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of body shop staff.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the body shop.
- Develops and implements a marketing plan.
- Builds and maintains good working relations with insurance adjusters.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect normal operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Examines damaged vehicles to determine the degree of structural and mechanical damage, as well as damage to the bodywork and the insides of the vehicles.
- Evaluates the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged part.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with the body shop foreman.
- Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
