What You'll Do
As an Automotive Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair gasoline, hybrid, and electric vehicle systems
- Perform repairs according to Ford and dealership standards
- Utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment and test-drive vehicles as needed
- Perform Video Multi-Point Inspections (Video MPIs) to clearly communicate vehicle conditions and repair recommendations
- Collaborate with Service Advisors regarding repair needs and additional recommendations
- Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Accurately document inspections, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Maintain efficiency while delivering high-quality workmanship
- Participate in Ford training and certification programs
- Stay current on Ford technical service bulletins and repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Properly use and care for dealership tools and equipment
- Follow OSHA, environmental, and dealership safety guidelines
- Immediately report safety concerns to management
Qualifications
Required
- Previous professional automotive technician experience
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to consistently produce quality flat-rate hours
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Preferred
- Ford dealership experience
- Ford certifications
- Experience working in a high-volume dealership environment
