What You'll Lead

As an Automotive Service Manager, you'll play a key role in the performance, culture, customer experience, and continued development of the service operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Service Advisors
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability throughout the department
• Monitor Service Advisor performance, technician productivity, customer satisfaction, and departmental profitability
• Drive repair order performance while maintaining a customer-first approach
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and overall service processes
• Partner with technicians, Shop Foremen, and Service Advisors to maximize shop productivity
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop service department employees
• Review departmental performance and implement strategies to achieve operational and financial goals
• Maintain high customer satisfaction standards and assist with escalated customer concerns
• Create a culture focused on teamwork, communication, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Parts, Sales, and other dealership departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Ensure Toyota and dealership policies, processes, and standards are consistently followed

Qualifications

Required

• Previous Automotive Service Management Experience
• Proven track record of leading and developing successful service teams
• Demonstrated ability to achieve financial and operational goals
• Experience coaching, training, and developing Service Advisors
• Strong understanding of dealership fixed operations and service processes
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities
• Ability to analyze department performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Preferred

• Toyota dealership experience
• Experience managing a large, high-volume service operation
• Strong knowledge of dealership management systems and service performance reporting
• Proven history of improving customer satisfaction, employee performance, productivity, and departmental profitability
