Position Summary
The Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing and controlling all aspects of the production process to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality plant operations. This role includes monitoring equipment, performing quality checks, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting continuous production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Equipment Operation
- Operate and manage production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent performance.
- Monitor equipment and process conditions, making adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
- Identify equipment issues, process abnormalities, or faults and report them immediately.
Maintenance & Equipment Care
- Conduct routine inspections on plant machinery and equipment.
- Perform maintenance and assist with repairs when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all production areas.
Quality Control
- Collect and test material samples to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Analyze results and communicate deviations promptly to prevent production issues.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record production data accurately, including equipment readings, quality results, and downtime events.
- Maintain logs and documentation in compliance with company policies.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all health, safety, and company regulations at all times.
- Maintain situational awareness to prevent hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
Team Coordination
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and the Plant Manager to ensure coordinated and efficient operations across the facility.
- Support new employee onboarding by assisting in training on equipment, processes, and safety procedures.
General Support
- Perform regular housekeeping tasks within the production area.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned to support plant operations
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 72.0 per week
