What You’ll Do
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient appointments and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and help create a comfortable, positive experience at every visit
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances, including brackets, wires, bands, ties, and retainers, as permitted by state regulations
- Take digital X-rays, photographs, and scans
- Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms according to infection control and safety standards
- Review treatment instructions and educate patients on appliance care, oral hygiene, and what to expect throughout treatment
- Update patient charts and maintain accurate clinical records
- Support scheduling and patient flow to help the office run smoothly and efficiently
- Work closely with the orthodontist and team to create an organized, upbeat, and patient-focused environment

- Orthodontic assisting experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and instruments
- Ohio dental radiography license
- Familiarity with Open dental software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
