Rate: $23.00
PrimeTri Providers is seeking Sterile Processing Technicians (Medical Supply Technicians) to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS). These professionals will play a critical role in maintaining the sterile integrity of medical instruments and supplies to ensure safe and efficient patient care within the VA network.
ResponsibilitiesPerform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of reusable medical equipment (RME).
Operate sterilization systems such as steam autoclaves and chemical sterilizers (e.g., Sterrad, Medivator Advantage, Trophon, Cidex OPA).
Conduct and interpret sterilization and biological testing (e.g., Bowie-Dick test, chemical/biological indicators).
Candidates must meet one or more of the following:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or higher (IAHCSMM/HSPA).
Graduate of a nationally recognized CRCST program with 2 years of current experience.
Graduate of an Operating Room Technician program with 2 years in sterile processing.
Graduate of a U.S. military surgical technician training program with 2 years of SPS experience.
VA Level 2 certification with 2 years of current SPS experience.
Non-certified technicians with 5 years of verifiable hands-on SPS experience.
