Sterile Process Technician

Location: 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822
Contract Type: 1-year base with four (4) optional 1-year renewals
Rate: $23.00

PrimeTri Providers is seeking Sterile Processing Technicians (Medical Supply Technicians) to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS). These professionals will play a critical role in maintaining the sterile integrity of medical instruments and supplies to ensure safe and efficient patient care within the VA network.

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of reusable medical equipment (RME).

• Operate sterilization systems such as steam autoclaves and chemical sterilizers (e.g., Sterrad, Medivator Advantage, Trophon, Cidex OPA).

• Conduct and interpret sterilization and biological testing (e.g., Bowie-Dick test, chemical/biological indicators).

Candidates must meet one or more of the following:

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or higher (IAHCSMM/HSPA).

• Graduate of a nationally recognized CRCST program with 2 years of current experience.

• Graduate of an Operating Room Technician program with 2 years in sterile processing.

• Graduate of a U.S. military surgical technician training program with 2 years of SPS experience.

• VA Level 2 certification with 2 years of current SPS experience.

• Non-certified technicians with 5 years of verifiable hands-on SPS experience.
