Medical Laboratory Technologist- MT, MLT, MLS

⏳ Contract Length: 6-Month Base 6-Month Option (Potential 12 Months Total)
💵 Pay $23.00/hour
🛂 U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Required
🕒 Full-Time (Onsite Only)
Open Positions
Up to 2 Full-Time MT/MLS or MLT
Key Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing in accordance with CAP standards and VA policies
Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens
Maintain compliance with quality control and regulatory requirements
Operate laboratory instrumentation and LIS systems
Minimum Qualifications
For Medical Technologists (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS):
Current certification meeting VHA qualification standards, including:
MLS (ASCP BOC or AMT), OR
MT (ASCP BOR or AMT), OR
Categorical/Specialist Certification (ASCP or AMT)
Minimum 24 months of experience
Must maintain active certification at all times
For Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT):
Certification from one of the following:
ASCP (Board of Certification or Board of Registry)
AMT
American Association of Bioanalysts
Minimum 24 months of experience
All candidates must successfully complete VA credentialing and privileging prior to start.
