The mission
Support NATO’s transformation by advancing joint & multi-domain C2—including integration with non-military instruments of power—through requirements definition, concepts and experimentation, and interoperability verification that enables commanders to plan, task, execute, and assess operations across domains.
What you’ll do
- Lead or contribute to C2 requirements, CONOPS, and experimentation; map dependencies and verify interoperability across Allies, Partners, and NATO bodies (e.g., ACO, NCI Agency).
- Produce VANGARD deliverables such as Concept Development, Capability Development, and Technical Trials reports and artifacts under Task Orders.
- Collaborate with multinational stakeholders to design/evaluate experiments and trials; prepare executive-level briefings and documentation.
Who we’re looking for
We are hiring Senior, Expert, and Junior performers. Performance levels align to Annex E:
- Senior: Drives on-time, high-quality products; synthesizes multi-source analysis; engages senior staff (typically MSc/MA ).
- Expert: Leads complex, multinational trials/experiments; designs experiments; sets quality controls and coordinates stakeholders (MSc/MA ).
- Junior: Supports studies, data collection/analysis, and drafting; delivers evidence-based results (BSc/BA ).
Minimum qualifications (per IFIB requirements)
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of a NATO member nation.
- Language: English proficiency at STANAG 6001 SLP 3333 (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing) or equivalent.
- Clearance: Active NATO or National SECRET (or higher); on-site access requires minimum final SECRET.
- Passport: Valid NATO-nation passport with no travel restrictions to NATO nations.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating non-military instruments of power with C2 constructs; familiarity with JADO/MDO and interoperability standards.
- Hands-on work on concepts, capability development, or technical trials within NATO, national defence, Big-4/strategy houses, or large enterprise environments.
