Production Associate – Cross-Functional Manufacturing Team

$19.10–$20.10 per hour | Full-time, Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:30 PM | Alden, NY

This position is a little different from a traditional production job. Instead of performing the same task every day, you will learn multiple parts of our manufacturing process and work where your help is needed most.

It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, likes staying busy and wants to understand how a product is made from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

You will support each of Hubco’s four core production departments:

• Riveting: Assemble backing components from raw materials
• Foam Molding: Help produce polyurethane sanding pads
• Secondary Processing: Perform post-molding work, including creating vacuum patterns
• Labeling and Packaging: Finish, label and prepare products for shipment

Your day-to-day work may include:

• Rotating between departments based on production needs
• Learning and supporting polyurethane molding operations
• Assembling product components
• Performing detailed post-molding production work
• Inspecting products for quality
• Labeling, packaging and preparing finished products
• Helping move work efficiently between departments
• Supporting high-priority production areas and bottlenecks
• Following established production and safety procedures
• Keeping your work area clean, organized and safe

Each day may look a little different. You will receive hands-on training in each department, and previous manufacturing experience is not required.

Manufacturing experience is welcome, but it is not necessary. Experience in retail, food service, cleaning or other hands-on work can also prepare someone to succeed in this position.

Physical Requirements

This is an active production position. Employees are expected to:

• Remain standing and moving for most of the workday
• Perform some repetitive production tasks
• Regularly walk, reach and bend
• Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Safely work around production equipment
