Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial, commercial, and construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electrical wiring, schematics, and safety standards, including NEC regulations. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects such as renovations, new constructions, and upgrades, utilizing a broad skill set that includes blueprint reading, low and high voltage systems, and the use of various hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and construction environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards
- Use hand tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and power tools for installation and maintenance tasks
- Perform wiring of control panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and motor controls
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical systems meet safety codes and operational standards
- Assist with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or maintenance person services when necessary for project completion
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to all safety protocols on-site
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid Journeyman/Journeywoman license
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and electrical codes applicable to various project types
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and low/high voltage systems
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
- Experience working on renovation projects or new construction sites involving electrical installations
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wire strippers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws)
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by project specifications
- Prior experience with construction site safety protocols is highly desirable

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
