Hubbell is currently hiring a Sustainability Intern to support our Sustainability team in creating and executing sustainability initiatives aligned with Hubbell's global ESG priorities. The Hubbell Summer Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.
The Sustainability Intern will typically have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as the day-to-day initiatives of the Sustainability team, while spending time shadowing actual operations. Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which will help them build a strong network within the Hubbell community.

Roles and Responsibilities will vary by Hubbell business location, but may include the following:
- Develop a working knowledge of corporate sustainability, spanning climate change, water, waste, circular economy, supply chain responsibility, diversity and equity, community impact, and disclosure/reporting frameworks
- Learn about Hubbell's current and future sustainability initiatives and priorities
- Contribute to internal reporting and strategy projects, including conducting research/benchmarking, drafting sustainability communications, collecting and analyzing data, organizing employee engagement initiatives, and implementing initiatives Perform other duties as assigned
- Expectations: The intern will be expected to work full-time at 40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.
- The student must be enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science/Studies/Management/Policy, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Management/Administration, Finance, Economics, International Business, or related degree)
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfortable presenting to others
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment in both in-person and virtual settings
- Working knowledge of sustainability and ESG concepts
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Personal passion and interest in ESG/sustainability issues
- Demonstrates professionalism and a proactive work ethic
- Ability to synthesize information and experience in developing engaging PowerPoint slides
- Strong writing skills, e.g., the ability to write compelling storytelling pieces
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and champion new ideas and approaches
- Previous corporate sustainability/ESG internship or project experience is a plus
