A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
- Assists in planning and designing processes for an electronics manufacturing facility .
- Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization in an electronic environment.
- Daily tasks will involve working hand in hand with production in an Electronic Metering Production Department
- Determines the parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
- Generates, reviews and updates work instructions and procedures as necessary to improve cycle times, cost and quality.
- Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role with other departments to assist in cost reduction and cycle time improvement.
- Assists engineering with Prototype builds and creates all necessary documentation to transition product to production.
- Assist production with ERP system (Netsuite/SAP) as necessary to ensure inventory and work orders are properly processed.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering/Mechanical Engineering or similar technical area.
- 3-5 years' Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment where electrical testing of Printed Circuit boards and/or finished goods is performed
- Lean Six Sigma/5s Tools a Plus.
- Experience with wiring, cable assemblies, PCB's, soldering and mechanical assembly of electronics strongly recommended.
- Netsuite experience a plus, or ability to learn new software to assist production
