Lead Veterinary Technician

Are you a skilled and motivated veterinary technician ready to take the lead in a fast-paced surgical environment? HUB Veterinary Group is looking for a Full-Time Lead Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Conroe, TX. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the surgical suite, values efficiency and compassion, and is ready to help drive excellence in high-volume spay/neuter care.
✂️ About the Role:
As our Lead Veterinary Technician, you'll work closely with our doctors and support staff to oversee daily surgical operations. You'll play a vital role in prepping, monitoring, and recovering patients, ensuring smooth and safe surgical flow, and mentoring fellow technicians in best practices. This is a leadership role that combines hands-on technical skills with team coordination and patient care.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Induction, monitoring, and recovery of anesthesia for high-volume spay/neuter surgeries
- Patient prep, sterile technique, and surgical support
- Post-operative care, discharge instructions, and client education
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure protocol compliance
- Assist with training and mentorship of veterinary assistants and techs
- Support inventory management and daily clinic flow
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT)
- 3–5 years of veterinary technician experience, including surgical and anesthesia experience
- Proficiency in IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and medication administration
- Strong skills in anesthesia monitoring, pain management, and emergency response
- Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership abilities
- Previous experience in HQHVSN or high-volume surgery is highly preferred
Bonus Points For:
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills
- Familiarity with community cat/TNR protocols
- Experience with inventory and surgical supply management

Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time position – Tuesday to Friday schedule, 7:00AM-5:00PM
- Competitive pay based on experience
