What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Internal Audit position at Hub Group?
Job Summary
The Manager, Internal Audit, will work closely in partnership with the VP, Internal Audit to manage the audit team members and help complete the annual SOX audit program, as well as assist in other control-related work and investigations as necessary. In this role, the Manager needs strong SOX 404 experience and will manage a small team.
Essential Job Functions
- Help execute the annual SOX 404 audit plan including preparing or updating flowcharts of key business units and processes.
- Manage and mentor junior staff on the Internal Audit Team to the highest standards of ethical conduct and practice.
- Work with external auditors and control owners across the business to ensure compliance.
- Evaluate adequacy of internal controls and make recommendations aimed at reducing key business risks.
- Communicate audit results, any necessary remediation, and/or process improvement recommendations to the VP, Internal Audit & Special Projects.
- Assist control owners with projects related to improved processes/controls.
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-7 years of work experience, ideally including at least 3 years of combined experience with a major accounting firm and/or internal audit in a publicly traded company.
- Experience directly managing people (e.g., reviewing work, coaching, performance reviews, etc.)
- Experience and expertise in building positive working relationships with the various critical internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong experience performing Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 audit plans, including risk assessment.
- Broad familiarity of key information technology risks and controls and use of technology based audit techniques.
- Sophisticated proficiency in analyzing data.
- Experience in a highly dynamic environment undergoing change.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment.
- Ability to work onsite at Oak Brook Headquarters.
- Ability to travel on a limited basis within the US and to our operations in Canada and Mexico.

Salary: $100,000 - 130,000/year base salary bonus eligibility
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, it may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand
