Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Administrator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and support the Business Objects and Tableau environments, including upgrades, user access, production support, and development of BO Universes and Tableau data sets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business Objects administration and/or Tableau administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for minor report building and provide on-call support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and perform upgrades of the Business Objects and Tableau environment to ensure it is up-to-date and secure.
- Administer user access and permissions to ensure appropriate access controls are in place.
- Provide production support for Business Objects and Tableau, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain Business Objects Universes and Tableau data sets to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Support and manage BO/Tableau schedules, including creating, modifying, and rerunning schedules as needed.
- Monitor the performance and availability of the Business Objects/Tableau environment and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development and business teams to understand reporting requirements and provide solutions.
- Build and modify minor reports to meet business needs.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures for Business Objects/Tableau administration activities.
- Utilize Wiiisdom 360 Eyes for analytics governance and monitoring of the Business Objects environment.
- Manage promotions of Business Objects/Tableau content through multiple environments (e.g., development, testing, production).
- Provide on-call support as needed for any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Business Objects/Tableau administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Business Objects/Tableau architecture and components.
- Experience with Business Objects/Tableau upgrades, user access management, and production support.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining Business Objects Universes and Tableau data sets.
- Familiarity with scheduling and rerunning Business Objects and Tableau extracts.
- Experience in building and modifying reports and/or data sets.
- Experience in managing promotions through multiple environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to provide on call support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other BI tools and platforms (e.g., Looker, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Wiiisdom 360 Eyes.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Salary Range
$79,000 - $95,000/year base salary bonus eligibility
