Job Title: Sheeter Operator
Department: Sheeting
Reports To: Shift Supervisor, Production Manager
Alternate: Sheeter Operator
FLSA Status: Hourly-Union
SUMMARY
To set-up, run, and maintain the sheeting machine in order to supply the highest quality, specifically sized sheets as requested when needed and to record the rolls and sheets produced for each order for inventory purposes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Report personnel or product safety concerns to management.
Get rolls per order as needed.
Set-up and run machine to ordered quantity.
Adjust machine and blades as needed to insure highest quality.
Log production on orders and worksheets.
Identify and place skids into inventory area by machine.
Keep work area safe and clean while working.
Clean and grease machine, ensure easy access for fittings and areas.
Change cutting blades for better quality of cut sheets at intervals as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information one-on-one, small groups, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and draw bar graphs. Ability to use and read tape measure.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
