We are seeking a driven, results-oriented Cobot Welding Cell Sales Manager to accelerate our growth in the North American welding automation market.
Position SummaryThe Cobot Welding Cell Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for Huayan’s turnkey collaborative robot welding solutions across the United States. You will target manufacturers seeking to automate welding processes, drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships, and establish Huayan as a leading provider of cobot welding solutions in North America.
This is a high-impact, autonomous role with significant earnings potential through performance-based incentives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute annual sales strategies and targets for Cobot Welding Cell solutions, focusing on key manufacturing sectors (automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, general fabrication, shipbuilding, etc.).
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, solution design, live demonstrations, technical proposals, POC trials, and contract closure.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end customers (OEMs and Tier suppliers), system integrators, distributors, and welding equipment partners.
- Understand customer welding challenges (labor shortages, quality consistency, productivity) and present customized turnkey solutions including robot, welding torch, power source, fixtures, software, training, and after-sales support.
- Collaborate with marketing to organize industry exhibitions, technical seminars, customer site visits, and promotional activities.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to headquarters for product localization and continuous improvement.
- Manage sales pipeline and CRM (Salesforce) with accuracy and discipline.
- Work closely with China-based technical and product teams to ensure solutions meet North American market needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Welding Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial automation/robotics sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically in welding robots or cobot welding solutions.
- Proven track record of selling turnkey welding automation projects (preferably $200K deals).
- Solid knowledge of welding processes (MIG/MAG, TIG, laser welding, etc.) and major welding brands (Miller, Lincoln, Fronius, MEGMEET, etc.).
- Strong technical selling skills and ability to communicate effectively with engineers, technical decision-makers, and C-level executives.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits, demos, and trade shows.
- Self-motivated with strong closing skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding-related certifications (e.g., CWI) or hands-on robotics integration experience.
- Existing customer network in North American manufacturing hubs (Midwest, Southeast, etc.).
- Familiarity with collaborative robot safety standards (ISO/TS 15066) and North American certifications (UL, CSA, etc.).
