Fast paced position requiring technical knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes to avoid any interruption to production and shipping/receiving activities.

Team Lead is responsible for all activities that occur within his/her department.

Tasks

• Ensure the work environment is safe, secure, and healthy. Including the proper use of all required PPE.
• Ensure all safety practices and procedures are being followed by all personnel within the warehouse.
• Serve as a role model for all other employees on safety, quality, attendance, conduct, performance, and efficiency
• Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring that all material movements are properly captured in RF Smart/NetSuite and material is properly identified with correct labeling.
• Ensure all standard work instructions are followed.
• Train associates in the efficient and proper completion of all warehousing activities.
• Assist in leading, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the warehouse
• Must be forklift certified with a clean record and understand basic process and material flow within RF Smart/NetSuite.
• Conduct daily checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Coach and mentor warehouse personnel with a goal to build a competent and empowered team
• Foster an environment which values team work as well as personal responsibility and accountability
• Demonstrate authentic leadership and physically perform all tasks
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and organized warehouse.
• Maintain constant communication with supervisor/manager following escalation process.
• Ensure all other employees meet performance expectations.
• Support and assist in improvement activities
• Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned to this position at the manager’s discretion.
  
  

Requirements

• At least 4 years working in a distribution/warehouse driving a lift truck.
• A minimum of six (6) months of experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, farming, or military environment OR completion of training/schooling in a related technical discipline
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment; e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, and other PPE as required by specific jobs
• Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
• Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and /or pulling for up to 12 hours a day
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays when required
• The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks
• Must be able to perform basic computer functions
• Ability to perform basic math functions and make measurements using the metric system
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in Basic English
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
