We are World Metal Stamping! Currently we have 25 to 400 ton press capabilities and can produce parts via stamping, fabrication, powder coat, and resistance welding within markets including home improvement, automotive, residential, and recreational industries.
HTT has an opening at Sheboygan, WI location for a Tool & Die Maker.
What does a day in the life of a Tool & Die Maker look like?
Position Summary: Operates tool room equipment, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains metal stamping dies and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Build new tooling components to produce a part piece to customer and engineering specifications;
- Repair and maintain tooling to keep part piece to print specifications;
- Troubleshoot tooling to find the cause of a part to be out of print specification and execute corrective action;
- Discuss with Tooling Support Supervisor or Engineering Department for any improvements and/or change to the tool that will improve tool life and quality;
- Assist the Tooling Support Supervisor and other Tool and Die Makers in the building and assembly of various tools and fixtures;
- Ability to operate all standard Toolroom equipment;
- Observe that tooling best practices are followed, and identify and suggest opportunities for improvement;
- Support the Production Floor with die set-ups, issues, or other needs as a collaborative and understanding group;
- Perform work up to, or exceeding, ISO/IATF standards;
- Communicate well with all employees and serve as a teammate throughout all HTT processes;
- Provide continuous improvement ideas to improve the production of parts;
- Comply with company handbooks and policies;
- Other duties as assigned.
