What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Developer position at HTRI (Heat Transfer Research, Inc.)?
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN NAVASOTA, TX
HTRI seeks an individual to develop, maintain, and enhance HTRI engineering software, including the user interfaces using a number of different technologies.
Principal responsibilities
- Write web applications to interface with new or existing databases using C#, Python, SQL, and JavaScript
- Develop front-end/back-end applications interfacing Web APIs
- Work collaboratively with team members to resolve bugs in existing codebases
- Configure local development environments and deploy changes to production
- Document software implementation details using diagrams and coding logic flowcharts
- Test bug fixes and requirement implementations
- Gain understanding of product architectures and constituent technologies
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, or Bachelor's degree with professional web development experience
- Implementation experience in at least 2 of: C/C , C#, Python, Ruby, JavaScript
- Experience with SQL and general database knowledge
- Familiarity with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure)
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar version control systems
Preferred but Not Essential
- MS in Computer Science
- IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS experience
- Understanding of back-end database design
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
