We're expanding with the possibility for a Licensed Electrical Journeyman!
Job Summary:
Possibly seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes. The Electrical Journeyman will work under limited supervision and may supervise apprentices and helpers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ensure electrical work complies with NEC, state, and local codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity using testing devices such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems and components.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, and follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Train and oversee apprentices or helpers.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Respond to service calls and emergencies when required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Electrical Journeyman License (Delaware).
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program.
- 4 years of experience in the electrical trade.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Physical ability to perform job tasks (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, working in confined spaces).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with digital tools for work orders or blueprints.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory on job sites.
Ability to successfully complete a background check and pass drug testing.
