CNC Machinist
Job Summary:
Skilled CNC Machinist to operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce precision metal parts and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, setting up machines, inspecting finished products, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Load raw materials and tooling, adjust machine settings, and monitor operations.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or CNC machining training preferred.
- 2 years of experience operating CNC machinery.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials.
- Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with G-code programming or CNC software (e.g., Mastercam, Haas, Fanuc).
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards.
- Forklift or crane operation certification (if required for material handling).
Ability to successfully complete a background check and pass drug testing.
