Responsibilities
- Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to ensure healthy and attractive lawns and gardens
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
- Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and pests to support healthy landscape growth
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers responsibly following safety protocols and environmental guidelines
- Execute hardscape maintenance including cleaning pathways, patios, and other outdoor features
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe during inclement weather
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or horticulture preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools essential for safe operation
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, and irrigation systems
- Ability to identify plants, pests, and common landscape issues accurately
- Knowledge of pesticide management and safety protocol adherence required for chemical applications
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a plus for equipment operation or transportation needs
