If solving tough equipment problems is your calling, HTI has a role for you with a leading automotive manufacturer in Piedmont, SC. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll maintain and repair production machinery, facility systems, and critical infrastructure in a high-output environment.
Compensation & shifts- Up to $32.38/hour, depending on experience
- 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities
- $2.00/hour shift differential for off shifts
- Read and apply mechanical/electrical schematics to service equipment
- Repair, replace, and modify hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Swap bearings, bushings, slides; troubleshoot pumps and motors
- Maintain plant utilities: air compressors, chillers, evaporators, coolant systems
- Diagnose/repair servo amplifiers and servo motors
- Use welding (MIG/TIG/stick) for repairs and upgrades (a plus)
- Perform fabrication with shear, brake, saws, drills, and standard shop tools
- Leverage PLC ladder logic to identify and resolve equipment faults
- Service CNC turning centers and grinders; perform machine backups
- Diagnose VFDs and related motor issues
- Validate and optimize machinery after rebuilds/refurbs
- Independently handle parts ordering and maintenance scheduling
- Drive 5S in maintenance/facility areas; organize spares with rebuild partners
- Train teammates; assist project crews and facilities as needed
- Associate’s degree from a two-year college/technical school preferred; or 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience without a degree
- Deep troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, and fabrication
- Willingness to coach and support other technicians
- Mechanical troubleshooting; mechanical systems and component repair
- Industrial electrical systems/experience: installation, repair, troubleshooting
- Work safely on 120/208/240/480V circuits
- Pneumatics troubleshooting; hydraulics systems and components
- Read electrical schematics; perform electrical panel installation
- Equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting; equipment repair/maintenance
- Electrical systems and diagnostics for heavy equipment
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing systems
- CNC automation solutions (Fanuc)
- Multimeters
- VFDs
- PLCs: Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens
- HMIs, conveyor systems
- Servo motors
