Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at HTI. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the site electrical infrastructure, from 12.7 kV site feed to substation, transformers, 4160VAC to 480VAC, switchgears, MCC, distribution panels, all the way down to DC control voltage levels for field devices that communicate to servers and automation system applications.
This role requires extensive knowledge of NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA guidelines and regulations related to electrical systems and industrial manufacturing. You will also manage facility equipment installations and coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance programs on electrical systems and facility equipment.
In addition, this position involves updating and troubleshooting the building automation system, managing UPS systems including repairs and routine maintenance, and managing electrical contractor vendors and coordinating their work after reviewing one-line and panel electrical drawings for capacity and feasibility of proposed electrical installations site wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the site electrical infrastructure, including high-voltage systems, transformers, switchgears, and low-voltage control circuits.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA guidelines and regulations.
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance schedules and programs.
- Collaborate with electrical contractors to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong understanding of entire electrical infrastructure for a large industrial site.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
