About the Role:
HTF Staffing is seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments. The DHH teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to ensure access to curriculum and promote language development and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss in various educational settings.
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s communication and academic needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff to adapt materials and modify instruction.
- Support the use and maintenance of hearing assistive technology.
- Communicate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teaching Credential or License (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proficiency in ASL or other communication methods used by students.
- Strong collaboration and advocacy skills.
