As a Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring supplier manufacturing readiness and sustained performance. This position is focused on the electrical and electronics side of supplier manufacturing and serves as a technical interface between the organization and its suppliers.
The role is responsible for supporting supplier manufacturing processes, quality, product launches, issue resolution, and manufacturing readiness. The successful candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical and electronics manufacturing and be able to lead technical discussions with minimal training and supervision.

This position is focused on the electrical and electronics side of supplier manufacturing and serves as a technical interface between the organization and its suppliers.
The role is responsible for supporting supplier manufacturing processes, quality, product launches, issue resolution, and manufacturing readiness. The successful candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical and electronics manufacturing and be able to lead technical discussions with minimal training and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Support supplier manufacturing readiness and sustained performance.
- Implement commodity-specific business plans.
- Ensure supplier compliance with quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty standards.
- Serve as a primary technical interface between the organization and suppliers.
- Support product launches and supplier manufacturing implementation.
- Drive issue resolution and support efforts to prevent disruption to vehicle production.
- Apply quality management and problem-solving practices to supplier-related issues.
- Support PPAP and APQP processes.
- Evaluate and support electronics manufacturing processes and process control.
- Support both front-end and back-end electronics manufacturing processes.
- Apply root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods.
- Lead technical discussions related to electrical and electronics manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Travel frequently to supplier sites, potentially up to 70%.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or supplier management.
- Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch within electronics manufacturing systems.
- Hands-on operational experience with electronics manufacturing processes and process control, including front-end and back-end processes.
- Automotive industry experience.
- 5 years of experience in one or more manufacturing processes, including:
- Casting
- Machining
- Forging
- Stamping
- Welding
- Plastic/Rubber Molding
- Brazing
- Sintering
- Automated/Manual Assembly Processes
- Controls Automation Programming
- Paint
- Chroming
- SMC
- Proven experience with PPAP, APQP, and quality systems.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Quality management experience.
- Working knowledge of automotive quality systems and standards.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to supplier sites, potentially up to 70%.
