Senior Java Backend Developer – Spring Boot & Microservices
Position Overview
Build and support scalable backend systems using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot while working with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based applications. This role offers the opportunity to design and develop backend services, integrate with external systems, and contribute to application performance, security, reliability, and deployment processes.
What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Build robust and scalable RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Develop microservices-based architecture and integrate with external systems.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders.
- Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of applications.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT and OAuth2.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- 10 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with Java 8 features, including Streams and Lambda expressions.
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of version control systems, including Git.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Spring Security.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Understanding of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Ehcache.
